The ABS pump cannot add brake pressure. It only subtracts off what the master cylinder makes.

The ABS pump will cycle after a few seconds/moments after starting or starting to roll, you will feel a subtle thunk in the pedal, that's the system self testing.

ABS pumps work by quickly reducing and then returning the volume of the system to normal..to quickly "release" brake pressure between your foot and the wheels to manage lockup.

Order today, have that MC by Saturday...

The fluid was quite dark compared to the new stuff. to use a wood metaphor, More than Ok, kind of like cherry, but not as dark as walnut. How about that. I can take a picture. I have not disassembled the MC system yet, So I do not know how the res looks yet.

I did pull the front calipers off today, and the seals look good, no leaks there, but not sure how the pistons look. Going to wait a bit to pull those out because I don;t have replacement parts yet.

Not entirely sure what you believe you will find....

Its a bad MC.

The pedal connects to the MC.

That's the entirety of the moving parts related to the cabin.

The pistons cant make your foot fall, they cant move anywhere installed on the car with brake pads in the calipers and a rotor in there.
Not a broken brake like...everything is dry, no missing fluid...

So master cylinder off, and new one ordered. Going to move on to the caliper rebuild next.
