Default Heat Shield Mounting - Near Bellhousing

In the process of putting my heat shields back on, and for the life of me I can't figure out how they mount back to the body near the bellhousing.

The attached pic shows what I think are the two screw holes (blue).

The red line is the edge of the heat shield between the exhaust and the TT, and the yellow outline is the heat shield along the DS.

Is there an intermediate mounting bracket that isn't there, connect the two of them?

There's no way the mounting holes for the two shields will reach over to the blue holes...

Also - I've looked through the PET and can't seem to find any of the three pieces that match the same shape.

You are missing a part, 928 501 901 05. It is #8 in illustration 801-15 on PET. This part is a brace, held in place by 4 M8 screws. On this brace are mounted 4 speed nuts, the speed nuts are what the heat shields screws attach to.
