Hi Guys

This is probably been asked a few times, although I havent been able to find it.

I have the following paint code on my car:

655 9 3
platinmetallic
U1

I phone up the paint shop who said they could supply me with the paint code: 655 platinmetallic. However they didnt recognise the last 2 digits "9 3" and also they didnt recognise the "U1"

Any ideas what they mean?

9 3 seems to indicate the original supplier of the paint.
U1 is the "commercial" code for a given year.

655 is the most important code.
