Is reinstalling this as painful as it looks?
Any tips on compressing that spring to get the bolt back into place?
Do my threads look ok?
I plan to take the mirror off to accomplish this.

My drivers side popped off too but it was just a case of the screw ratcheting itself out over the years. You need a triple square bit to re-tighten into place.
