I read a discussion on the oil check valve sticking and causing problems at start up, but it sounds fine at start up.
The engine has 141,500 miles on it and it still runs strong.
Thanks.
Jim,
I sounds like the viscosity of the oil when warm are too low for your engine.
Check the following (and forget all the magic products)
- The quality and grade of the oil you are using (Viscosity and viscosity index)
- Your oil pressure when idling/warm (If the pressure is low, oil with higher viscosity when warm can 'be the answer')
PS: Most of these magic products just increase the viscosity of the oil - Better to spend your money on a quality oil from a well known company - I am using Valvoline W5-40 and that works fine for my engine (S2 - 100.000 M)

Yep, seems I heard that same advice somewhere.
