Put the 'color-tune' plug in, fired it up and let it warm up. Each time it started to stumble, I leaned out the A/F mix till I got a blue flame. Shut it off, came back a few hours later and did it again. Nice rich blue flame this time. removed the 'color-tune' and went for a ride. A few miles around the town to see if it would still stall when hot--no problem with that, then out on I-95 for a little work out. About 15 miles at 70 mph all good so far. My hot idle is steady now at 1000 rpm instead of dying. Tomorrow I'll play with it a little more: I'll use the 'color-tune' to compare the flame color in the front 2 cylinders on each side. they are easiest to get to & most visible. If they come out pretty even, then I'll adjust the idle speed screw next, bring the idle down to ~800 rpm. I know it's just "ball park" tuning, so I'll find a place and get it 'dialed in' later. Fortunately "QQ" plated cars don't need to go through inspection. P.S. Anyone know a good K-Jet place in south Jersey/ Phila. area??

Used my Color tune plug to compare the front 2 cylinders on each side: #1 & #5 are blue, #6 is orange (rich) #2 I can't see too well but it looks rich too. I so glad I used #1 to adjust the A/F ratio. Looks like I'll be doing the injectors next.. Oh Well, I really didn't have anything else planed this winter. LOL. There's a place near me, Elite Auto Services, Pennsauken, N.J., claims to be a "Bosch Specialist". Anyone have any feedback on them?

You might want to check out cost difference between a clean (with possibility of some failures) and new MB brass injectors - have seen these in $20 range. Nobody who has used these has a bad word for them so far.

Thanks form the tip JPIT. I'll look into that. Happen to know the part# on those MB injectors?

0437502047 Bosch. Lots of price variance, from $25 up. Stock item is 0437502012, uncommon and pricey.
