Default Fuel filter issue

Yesterday I ran into trouble while checking fuel pump and in-tank fuel filter. My fuel filter just wouldn’t move a bit. After using quite some force I had it turning around but it wasn’t just the fuel filter that was turning so it seemed. The only way to get it out was to pull it out.
After some wiggling I had the fuel filter out but it was stuck in a threaded bus!

The filter-bus combo is soaking in Wally’s brew right now.

If I can get them apart I hope to be able to get the bus back in. Now here’s a few questions.
Looking at this pic. it seems there’s another seal between the bus and the ring on the fuel tank.

I don’t seem to have that.

What is the best way to get the bus back in. Any Ideas on fuel resistant glue/sealant? I have some loctite that’s used in the aviation industry that’s heat and fuel resistant.
There’s little damage on the ring on the fuel tank. So I need to use some sealant along with the fuel filter gasket.

I hope I can fix this. A new tank is not an option. I just had my transmission rebuild and TOTMBO has set a limit on my shark-spendings, (and she’s right :-)

Hello,
Fuel filter biggest issues are blocked fuel lines. Pump is dead and does not spin when the key is turned on the problem may be the pump itself or a fault in the wiring connection to the fuel pump assembly.
Thanks

Hello,

fuel channel issues, numerous makers are setting the fuel channel inside the fuel tank.

The fuel channel cleans the fuel of particles.

It appears that someone stripped out the threads on the fuel strainer boss and glued it back in. Unfortunately as you know, that is not meant to be a removable piece. So the right (read that safe) thing to do is to source a used tank. Barring that the only temporary fix would be to epoxy the whole thing back in and wait till the Wife forgets how much you spent on the last upgrade.....
