Watercooler:

Jager doesn't sell PORSCHE in raised letters do they? I haven't seen them on their site.

Sharks:

Cool! Do you have 18"s?

Good info all around on the decals.

I received a reply from Malta and it looks like they are willing to make us an S3 decal.

"I would be happy to, we would need to find the correct style for it."

Stay tuned ...

Don, yes 18's with 225/40ZR18 all the way around.

Don,

I don't think Jager sells the raised "P O R S C H E", just the "928s4". I may be wrong though. However they do sell the imitation GTS rear reflector that has "P O R S C H E" on it, and is applied over the Porsche(between the tail lights). I have never personally seen this, however it looks cool on the web page.

Cheers!

Hello again Don,

Actually, I just re-read Jagers descrition of his rear stick-on GTS reflector and he does list, what seems to be, the rased "P O R S C H E" lettering.

If you are interested, it may be worth a call.

Paul Jager does also post here from time to time.

Awesome news on the S3 decal.

I will check with Jager on the raised PORSHE letters. They would look good and be much easier to install than the decal.

I found an unofficial "Porsche" Font on the web when I was looking into having stickers made myself. I still may have one made, "4.5L OHC V8" for the right side below the factory sticker. Maybe this company in Malta can use this typeface to come up with an S3 and other stickers.

I received a reply from our friends in Malta today. Attached are the proposed S3 decal choices. Please post the one you like (#1 top ... #4 bottom) and what color you need. The decals will be $7 each.

I like the bottom one too. I replied to the e-mail to find out if they can make the bottom one with an outlined "3" too.

Sorry, but they all look kinda "hokey" to me. "But, one mans hokey is another mans S3, I guess."

Default Application

I will be replacing my "P" letters soon. Any tips on the applying the decals? As some have said, it looks tricky and you don't get a practice round.

I was able to perfectly reapply mine <photo>... using the tip on an exacto knife to hold the decal an placing it exactly where I needed it. I simply poked the tip directly into the letter and placed it down directly where it needed to be.

You are correct, there are no second chances. So take your time and use a steady hand (hold the morning cofffee, unless you get withdrawls and a shakier hand without it ).
