Clutch Popper:

I think you should use one of those Shark pics as your Avatar.

Also, the IRL will always suck. Long live CART! I just had to get that off my chest.

Don - will do, once I reach 40 posts. Just a newbie on the site. I also plan on subscribing once the 928 is in hand.

Hey Clutch, perhaps we should just swap sharks for a while....... just to see what the other side of the fence is like!! I suggested that to my wife too.......... the black eye is still healing!!

Don, I second your taste in sharks!!

Clutchpopper, it's your car, do what YOU want to it. I love the S and the S4 styling, but a few years back at a 928 gathering, I saw an S with just the addition of the S4 rear. I loved it!!!! To me the S front looks aggressive and bold. The S4 front looks aerodynamic and sleek. They have different character, but are both beautiful.

I personally feel that it's not up to me to judge what someone else does to their car. Doesn't mean that I have to like their modifications mind you, but I do respect the time and energy, even if it isn't something that I would personally do to my GT.

I run a 4" cowl induction hood on my GT, that is painted blue with 50 stars. The GT is guards red, so it's kind of a rolling American flag. I get my fair share of criticism from 928'ers and Porsche folks, but I don't let it bother me. All the second looks, thumbs up, and people checking it out at car shows makes it all worthwhile. It's mine, and I do what makes ME happy. Soapbox off.

can't decide which front or rear section I like better, so I started a collection of project cars. LOL but I'm with those loving S4 rear with S front...well also like the S rear.... S4 front looks really good too, especially with fat tires...hmm...S rear with S4 front would be good too I guess...ugh...indecisions!!! see what I mean?

I like the s4 rear, except for that "shelf" on the back.
I prefer the "bubble-butt" of the s2. I just do not like the tail-lights, because they look dated...

The front end is a similar situation.
I like the s4 lights being more blended into the bumper.
But the s2 has a more aggressive look.

Digging this one out....

It's been 4 years. I've been researching this for a while but haven't seen it yet.

Has anyone here put an S2 Nose on a S4 Body? Pics of course would be great.

If you are looking for a variation of the front and rear (and side) you might take a look at these. We currently have a 20% group discount till the end of the month.

My front and rear valance and rocker panels are on the way, but I haven't seen them yet.

There is a AIR thread from a couple of week ago describing everything.

Lizard - you are probably right and that's a lot of aluminum

Anthony - those guys are pussycats (yeah, right), they wouldn't get too mad - just put me on their ignore list - forever.

Barry - sounds like you have performed those mods to your 86.5, hmmmm? How much extra hp? Interesting food for thought.

To all - just expressing a personal preference for nose style. The S4 is a more modern look (and aerodynamic) but at the expense of looking less aggressive. Maybe I should just consider a different air dam/front spoiler for the '87? Any suggestions? I am just looking for more overbite - Think tigershark and not nurseshark.

Thanks Rod,

Honestly my favorites body parts are the Pre-S4 nose but the S4 Tail. I dislike
the S4 nose enough that I'd stick to an 86.5 unless this could be done efficiently.
I'm not a fan of any of the body kits I've seen.

I'm not trying to break any speed records so the aerodynamics aren't important to me.
But upgrading to the larger HP motor and further improvements of the S4 would be nice.
Plus, I will admit the pre-S4 tail looks dated.

I'd be surprised if no one else has actually done that modification. My Rennlist search
for it only produced this thread.

Again, if this can be done efficiently (cheap) I'm very curious. It would greatly increase
the number of cars I could consider to get what I'd like.
