Default KEY LOCK !!! AHHHHHH

can someone please explain to me how on earth how the spring in the key lock cylinder installed!? i had to take it apart to remove one of the tumblers which was broken..so then i tried for about 2 hours to put it back together but i cant figure out how to re-install the spring.. i understand how its suppose to be installed in theory but i just can not do it.. has anyone done this before? if so , do you know what im talking about? haha it drove me crazy today.. i had to get in my other car (e46 M3) and take a blast out on the hwy to calm down. i just left the spring out and put it back together.. it works fine now but the key doesnt return to center on it own now.. no biggie. at least i can lock the doors now.

I'm trying to remember the "trick" to keep that from happening as I had the same issue a few years back.

Yup, it's a PITA. It will take many tries, but once you get it, it will stay and work. I think there's another piece that goes on the end of that and you have to get one end of the spring on, then put that piece on and work the other end of the spring home.

I can't remember either, but it didn't just slip on, I know that.
