He's getting some input. It'll be interesting to see if he manages to fix it before the end of the auction. That would be pretty cool. If not, the good deal potential is high.
It is a nice looking car. I like to color combo and it's an 86.5 5 speed to boot.

Looking at how that engine has been serviced, and I'm using that term loosely (stray wires, vacuum lines, and what not), no wonder it doesn't run.
So it would need a Proper T-Belt job right off, and go from there, as if they didn't replace the WP, then I'm betting the Cam and Oil pump Gears will need to be replaces too.

At $2700 bid. Good deal for someone here that can diagnose and fix it. Logistics for transport from eastern Canada are tough for us westerners. But it was originally a California car, which solves a slew of potential import issues for U.S. buyers.

Amazing. Someone with guts, knowledge, and foresight could get a hell of a deal here. That's one of the prettiest interiors I have seen with a Garnetrot exterior finish. A few years from now there will be tears and wailing over these lost opportunities.

I'm figuring about 5k in deferred maint. in parts, if the clutch and Trans are in good shape.
T-Belt, MM's, Pan gasket, TT Bearings, all new rubber bits under the hood, AC work, etc. then you could enjoy it.
edit: doesn't say how long its been sitting either, from the dirt fresh wash lines under the hood it may have been a while
