Congratulations from me also, vanster!
I am glad it went to a fellow enthusiast that is also near such great resources for our cars!
Following is that history that I had put on the other threads. As indicated in those, this came from Susan Kirby (now Thomas) from when I was wanting to buy the car from the original 1st owner in March of 1999! It's consignment at DEVEK was very brief!
Congrats, again, and I look forward to hearing what the no-start problem was.
-------------------------- begin snippet ---------------------------------
86.5 Porsche 928S
one owner, he ordered directly from Porsche to his specs
5 speed
87K miles
Garaged, always out of the sun
Graniterotmetallic (garnet red?)
interior: gray/green (everything) it is gorgeous
rear A/C
non-smoker (car still smells new)
Limited slip *unknown* (Edit: it has LSD!)
no side moldings
all original-no modifications
original stereo
immaculate condition
minor front bumper rock chips - nothing unusual for the mileage
He is bringing the car back next week sometime to leave it here for
consignment sale. The only things he knows of right now that don't work
are the cruise control and the rear hatch release.

Thanks, this is good to know. I was told that the first owner lived in Marin County but I didn't know how many miles were on the car when he sold it in '99.
Now to get it shipped, which has become complicated because car truckers don't what to go up to the border. They all want the car delivered to Portland Maine before they will pick it up. We will figure it out
