Block damaged by metal waterpump impeller
#16
Probably a rebuilt pump using the Porsche casting.
On the later cars if you want a plastic impeller you will need to buy a new Porsche pump or a rebuilt Porsche pump (any rebuilt pump not recommended) The only other choice is a GEBA pump with a metal impeller with limited use history and feedback - however so far so good.
If your car is fitted with a PKensioner or you plan to upgrade to the PKensioner you can use the earlier Laso pump with plastic impeller (available) on all 77 to 95 cars.
