I see a drop on the bottom of the reservoir itself. Could if be sloshing out of the cup past the cover? Or a crack in the body?

Possible. The side of the reservoir looked clean, but was a little "oily." The lid has a rubber seal that is fairly dry. Is the seal a replaceable part? It's not in the PET.

Negative. Part of the overall reservoir, which I believe is NLA for the metal (You can get a replacement filter from Roger if yours hasn't been changed, more as maintenance than a solution to this issue).

I'd *think* you'd have some weeping coming down from the top if there was a leak there...any drain marks?

No drain marks. The leak has not been present that long though.

How full do you fill the reservoir? Guestermeasuring here... I leave almost 2 inches from the top.

Mine was filled to the mark on the inside of the reservoir, about 2/3 inch from the top. I siphoned off a bit more and cleaned the area. Time will tell is this helps. Thanks for the advise!

Did you figure out the problem? I have the same issue and am looking for a solution.

fluid flows down hill and that drip on the reservoir would indicate an issue from above the hose. IMHO.

I'm afraid I have not drive more than 30 miles since I lowered the fluid level, so I don't know if it work yet. I'm dreaming of warm weather. Once it warms up enough to drive, I'll post an update.

FWIW, 928Intl has two NOS metal power steering reservoirs on the shelf, complete with lids and the groovy red and silver decals.

I must control myself until I know why it is leaking ... but they are so pretty.

I had a small droplet of PS fluid on the bottom of the reservoir after a drive this afternoon. The side of the reservoir was dry. It must be leaking from the bottom of the reservoir.

Did you end up getting a new reservoir?
