Curious if you were chasing another or the same symptom when you decided to change the coolant. 15 Mins should be well into thermostat-open and close to operating temp, especially if you are in the US. Getting an eruption that late is rare, since the thermostat is usually open and the temp is at normal after 15 mins. Circulation should have pushed any air up and out, and the cap would have been on the reservoir with full liquid inside. Temp gauge would be at or close to normal; your 1/4 on the gauge is far from normal after that run time.


I'll let other experts gather for this one. I'm low on solutions unless the water pump isn't turning.
