Default Material missing from oil port

While cleaning up the lower cradle of the 90 S4 engine I am about to put back together I saw this on one of the oil line ports.

I think I read that I can add some JB Weld and use it. I just need enough to fully support the crush washer.

Opinions?

Posting a picture of my progress - took a few days to build up the JB Weld. After the final cure overnight I will sand it down level with the rest of the block.

Still plan applying Teflon tape during reassembly.

If the area was absolutely sterile when you laid up the JB, you should be fine. I've actually known people that have repaired diesel blocks with the stuff, but the prep is absolutely critical.
