Maybe.

But if your car is an SE, as I think yours is, I don't think this the usual AC compressor on your car.
CS's (and certainly SE's) use a Nippondenso 10PA20C.
Please let me know if you find another car with this compressor.

Many other things use it, the manifold plates may be different, but you can swap those around.

If this was a rare compressor, a Google image search would not be so largely populated with photos of it in different configurations.

1980-1989 uses a Denso 6E171.
However not all 6E171 variants are the same, for example
a 6E171 found on older For Continentals has different mounting ears.

Would you say it's cheaper to have your own 6E rebuilt, or buy a new one with the core rebate?

Fortunately, the 6E has steel cylinders and the pistons have a polymer ring, unlike others. The reed plate assembly is pretty durable.

But, you have to inspect the wobble plate and nose seal contact area on the shaft.
The bearings hold up quite well.

When you remove the pulley, place 3 fingers inside the bearing inner race, spin it around and feel for vibration

So, i'd suggest a tear down first. Inspect. If all is well, then you buy a seal kit.

If you are going to buy a rebuilt, only a Denso factory rebuilt.

We offer them as well as other options.

Ya...I have no reason to believe anything is wrong with this compressor, other than it came off a car with no pressure in the system when I bought it.

Just a seal kit for this..not bad.
