That's awesome, Alex! Congrats on the purchase. Can't wait to see/hear more about this car. Did it have its original gas cap and bulb kit?

No issues on the was home.

Was there a final tally of number of 928s that showed up?

Original gas cap, bulb kit, tool kit, spare tire, extra belts with tags, manuals including the radio manual (radio awol, unfortunately), warranty manual, rear hatch snap-in cover. Could not believe how straight and original the car was. All receipts and records, all registrations since new. Unfortunately had to tuck away at my summer place without really going over the car as I'm clearing out my main garage for epoxy paint, spray foam, lift and finally turning on he slab heating system to be able to work on the cars during the winter. Will be a month long project. Will post pics when I'm able to go through everything.

Wow ! Only a month long project ? Car must be pretty straight as described above. Sounds like Stan will be camping out in your garage for the entire month (including weekends with you handing him tools as needed) and parts are all ordered and delivered in advance T

I heard Shawn count out 44 at a point when we believed all cars were present; I later thought he had missed one.

I later overheard a count of 29 in the hotel parking lot suggesting there were 16 day-trippers.

Do you mean a tally of the number of 928s that Alex now has, or how many that were at the Frenzy event?

No - the GARAGE is a month long project...that's when I can plan to get the car in there and really see what I've got...that will likely be multi-month/yr/decade....you know..

I'm reasonably certain that in the end there were an even 50 cars. A couple showed up later, including someone who turned up just as the Fun Run got underway.

Default FACE

the words from several people was that they were smiling all along the drives (ask Bertrand)....I guess the appropriate song would be "I can't feel my face when I'm with you and I love it"
GREAT WEEKEND always too short BIG THANKS to all the hard working organizers

Before this thread closes down I just wanted to give one last shout out to our gracious host Darryl of Odds and Ends Detailing. For anyone who was at Darryl’s shop on Friday you may have noticed him spending quite a bit of time schooling me on the particulars of how to make my “Guards Pink” 928 paint red again. The pics below are the outcome of that effort. Thanks again Darryl.
Now it’s time to go driving
(BTW the fronts high ‘cause I just changed the oil so flame-off).
