Help - cant find right rear 'Euro S' tailight lens
#16
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone has and is willing to part with a new RHS rear tail light lens for a Euro S.
Roger tells me that he can no longer source this part new from Porsche US or Germany. Dave R has taken the part of his online shop too...
I just resprayed my rear bumper and its now the only Blemish..Surely someone has one in a box lying on a shelf somewhere!!
Thanks in Advance.

But thanks. I dont know a lot of parts dealers in the UK, this one is new to me, so I'll keep looking.

Did we settle if the P/N are different?
I looked at some of my resources, including scans of old German microfiche, and the P/Ns were the same for the lens.
To be honest, I do recall there being something to this when I needed a lens years ago but the waves of time have erased the footprints.

928 631 934 02
928 631 934 03
928 631 934 04
In the PET for US vesrion, list only one
928 631 934 03.
Not sure how to read this. I read it that depending on your ROW VIN, it might match the US version?????
Anyway, I guess only Roger can clarify why he thinks they are completely different.

If there is any real difference I really doubt that any one is ever going to know....no judge, no potential buyer, perhaps only the current owner of the car...
I remember that the French had some unusual light requirements at one time but do not recall what it was.....

As already said ----
PET ROW shows 3 versions
928 631 933/4 02 = ROW
928 631 933/4 02 = France & M215 Saudi Arabia
928 631 933/4 03 = France & M215 Saudi Arabia
928 631 933/4 04 = Japan
Old numbers 928 631 933/4 01 supers to a 933/4 03
928 631 933/4 04 does not exist in the current Porsche system anymore.
USA/CAN shows one version only - apart from early years
Early years 77 to 80 show 03 and 04
Through to 86 shows 03 only.
I have both ROW and USA/CAN here so I will remove one side and compare to see what difference there is if any.

Sorry got side tracked ------
OK pulled the lens from a USA car and a ROW car and found the difference. Lens are all identical as well as the frame. Both will fit either application.
The difference is the approvals on the lens. The USA version has DOT on one red lens. The ROW version has approval codes on all four lens.
As far as I can see there is no other difference so for the point of this conversation either USA/CAN or ROW can be used.

I have a set on the shelf that have Euro part numbers. I am not near them today but I can take pics of them. It has been a while but when I googled the part number the only thing that came up was UK eBay.?.?.? I have owned them for years but never had them on a car. They were not in Porsche boxes so I assumed that they were used.
