Twofer
Can anyone tell me why the voltmeter is known for inaccuracy and how to get it to read correctly? I measured the voltage at the battery and am at over 13 volts but the gauge says less than 12.
Also, I removed the AC compressor and evaporator and formerly left the auxiliary electric fan in the car. Would it work without the AC system in place? If so, I will reinstall it. I have since removed it when installing the timing belt, water pump, and new tensioner (easiest car to do all these jobs on in my experience. Way better than working on a Northstar)....

depending on the wiring it, the fan should would if the temp switch in the radiator trips it.
as for the volt meter, clean all the grounds at the pod, and the connections can help. i alway just look at it and "add 1" to what ever it says.
