Reproduction Shell Stickers, FS
When I was developing the Replacement Cowl Covers for the 928, both LHD and RHD I did some research to determine how many different Shell Stickers had been used in the 928 from the beginning to the end. I reviewed the post-a-picture-or-stay-out thread twice to try to find as many pictures of the engine compartment as I could and with the year of the car shown, and in many cases the last four of the SN. I found four versions of the Sticker and had them very accurately duplicated in a sticky vinyl material that has been working very well, although it is probably a little thinner than the originals.
Then, in the process of replacing the Cowl Cover in my friend Randy C.'s 85 I discovered that his original Cowl Cover has an additional version of the Shell Sticker that I had not seen in any other 928. I don't have it here to describe, but he has promised to loan it to me when I get ready to have another run of some of these, which I'll be doing shortly, since I am running low on one or two of the versions I had made originally.
So, I now wonder what additional input I might get from all of you about a shell sticker in your 85 and/or maybe 86 that does not coincide with the ones shown here.
The other mystery I kind of ended up with is at what point in Porsche Production, particularly the 928, in the 82 model year did the Shell Sticker change from the white with yellow boarder to the solid yellow with red parinting? I found that SN 1209 has the white/yellow and Sn 1364 has the Yellow/Red Sticker. Can anyone with that year of 928 help narrow it down any further?
Thanks in advance for any input.
By the way, the Shell Stickers and the intensive washer sticker are available separately for $6.00 each mailed with instructions to domestic addresses. Send me a PM, or email to jfeather@bresnan.net.

Yes, an 81 would have the white sticker with yellow boarder and red printing, but it would be on the center of the airbox top, rather than on the partial cowl cover for that MY.
