Default removing s4 transmission governor

I have been looking at the 928 workshop manual and some Benz transmission manuals. For the most part, I just need to lift the car off the ground. Remove a bolt. Then a slap ring with cover. Then slide out the governor?

No bolt to remove. Unplug the cable connector to the back-up light/lockout switch, loosen the nut on the threaded stud of the axial retainer (located above the fluid reservoir on the right side of the trans case) and rotate the stud counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise for those across the pond or down under) about 1/8 turn to release the governor shaft from the axial retainer, then press in on the governor cover with your fingers and pop out the snap ring to remove the cover. Once the cover is out of the way you can draw out the governor.
