Default RMS leak check...

Would it be a bad idea to check a newly installed seal for leakage before putting the clutch pack in.

What I would do is let the car sit at idle for 15-30mins to see if the thinning oil stays where it should? I have only installed the flywheel now.

Obviously it would save one a lot of grief and work if the seal is not seated proberbly. Clutch pack in and out is no fun

It wouldn't do any harm, I don't see why you could not.

Not stupid .....i had same thoughts. ...install flywheel pressure plate starter....the engine is fully bolted in place through mounts TT and gbox
