Default Texas and Oklahoma Floods.

All looking quite grim from here.

Hope all Sharkies, families, and friends are ok.

I was thinking of rolling up the windows and turning the car upside down so I could paddle it.

All fine in Double Oak thanks - so much frigging rain I am thinking of moving back to England for the dry weather 8>).

The swimming pool is overflowing and the ground is totally waterlogged.

Mostly OK here in Oklahoma with some local flooding issues, not near as bad as our brothers to the south. Many of the lakes here were built/managed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers with flood control being a top priority. The system is working well with virtually all nearing the tops of their flood control pool, but having prevented widespread flooding.

Western Oklahoma was in a multi-year extreme drought which has been broken this month. Most of the reservoirs out there are back to normal levels including Lake Altus, which at one point was 30 ft (!) below normal.

928 content - The Velvet Hammer has remained dry, under cover, on trickle charge, for the duration of this month's rains.

Just leaving the Lake Whitney area an hour south of DFW. Lake was way low, now overfull. Corp of Engineers was releasing water several days over the last couple weeks, but that was adding to downstream flooding so they stopped, then started again this morning. Surrounding area has a lot of water still standing, picnic and camping parks are 20+ feet submerged.

Taking a short break back to Oregon for R&R and some dry-out time. Car is waiting quietly I'm told. Biggest scourge there right now is a thick layer of yellow pollen from the aspens.
