How to apply Jager lock surround overlays?
I'm being really dim here, but set of these arrived in post today, and I can't make any sense of the door lock instructions!
What is meant by "tack round to 9 o'clock position" etc? Does it refer to pushing down on the overlay and applyingpressure moving clockwise, or do you rotate the overlay or what?
Please could anyone who has applied them explain how they are installed? My locks are inpretty good condition, but I wanted the overlays to protect them.
Thanks

I have them on mine, don't really remember their being anything specific about how to apply them. I just pealed, positioned them by eye the best I could and pressed them down.
No issues to speak of for me.

It's been a while since I last did it, and I don't have any instructions left... here is what my old brain seems to remember:
- You want the seam to be vertical, at the top of the lock where it is least visible.
- The overlays should be reasonably warm (room temp, at least)
- I believe you have to start applying them on one side, with the seam facing upward, then you go around the lock and carefully press it on.
- I also believe there is one extra overlay in case it doesn't turn out nicely the first time.

Thanks all - makes sense. The instructions threw me as they also mention overlap at the top, which confused me too since they are cut and that cut is supposed to be at 12 o'clock so there is no material to overlap!
I'll be sure to wait for warm day before applying (could be long wait in British summer)
