Default Windshield Washer Questions

Hello, all! Been a while. I have a few general questions, I'm hoping someone can just give me some info. I've got a 1987 928S4 automatic.

Yesterday I was finally getting around to replacing the cowl up by the windshield of the engine bay which I had been planning to do for a while. As part of this, I was going to try and clean things up a bit and the windshield washer hoses seemed discolored and a bit brittle, so I figured I would replace those too as best as possible.

Things mostly went ok except two things. First, the electric connection (3 prong male) for one of the nozzle mounted on the hood was pretty much crumbling. I thought I could get it to work but when I put it all back together, only the driver side nozzle sprayed anything. Without doing any more investigation, I'm assuming it is the cord that is the issue. I can find the pump, nozzle, hoses, etc. in the parts catalog but nothing about what the wiring cord's part number would be. Does anyone know? Is that something I should be looking in the wiring diagram for? I figure it needs to be replaced anyway, so I'll go ahead and try that first. Second question on this, where does this wire too? Can I get to the other end without pulling a lot of stuff apart? Maybe it's too much of a headache to even bother. This isn't the wire from the nozzle to under the cowl. It's what connects to the other end of that wire that goes to...?

OK, second question. The 1000 mm fluid hose that is supposed to connect under the passenger side and then goes off to a pump somewhere. It appears this connection is a bit short and is a bit stressed when connected. It's obvious someone has messed with all this in the past. I'm thinking the hose is just routed incorrectly. If I wanted to swap out this hose and route it correctly, where is the pump and and how far is the hose going to get to that pump? I can only follow it for a bit before I lose it behind the large fluid container. I didn't have the car up, so maybe it was easier to find if I could trace it from under too.

OK, last question. What is the difference between the two fluid containers (driver side, under cowl and passenger side on side of engine bay)? I was looking closely at the diagram in the parts catalog and it appears those two are spliced together to shoot out each of the nozzles. This definitely isn't the way mine was set up while I messed with it yesterday. It appears someone pulled the smaller container under the cowl from the system and had just the main fluid container hooked up (which might be my issue with when the passenger side isn't working). Maybe this is best and not worth fixing, but I like the idea of having it the way it was designed to work. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

-Bill
