The PO replaced the o-rings on them before I bought it, but given that replacing them made everything run significantly better, it's clear that at the very least they would need to be sent off to Witchhunter or some place similar for a refurb. Of course, there's no guarantee that they would perform within spec after that. I'd rather sell them than keep them, if they're worth anything.

That's the rub, sending them off will cost a bit over 200 bucks, new/ rebuilt (and newer design) cost about a third more?

I have a few sets sitting in sealed bags, don't want to discard them either to have as a back up.

Yeah, that was exactly why I went with "new" refurbished ones....the price differential wasn't great enough to risk that one or more of my old ones might be unrecoverable.

I suppose it does make sense to seal 'em up just in case.
