This is a cross-post from OT. I think you 928 guys would be better at providing a solution than the baboons over there.
For the the rear load-leveling shocks on a MBZ W140? The bottom bushings, at the trailing arm. Not available by themselves by MBZ, they want to sell me the whole hydraulic shock.
1996 Mercedes S500 coupe. W140 chassis, which was the big one. It is a coupe, not a sedan. It was referred to as a C140 the next year (as in, 140 chassis, Coupe variation).
I think the original bushings were a stiff rubber construction, though not up to the task (because a load-leveling suspension on such a heavy car puts HUGE strains on the connectors)
Does anyone have a link to a bushing website?
