Whats this stuff on the defroster lines?

I used Mc Quires polishing compound kind of kept it wet and when the little clouds were gone I just finished polishing it out with a clean rag.

Again moving along the lines of the defroster and not across.

Worked well for me took about 30-40 minutes the clean the whole glass.
