Default 14 pin connector top cover?

It,s a long time since I removed the 14 pin conn to clean it, and thought it about time it had a little R&R, can,t remember how to remove its plastic top, had a go but it won,t budge.., arthritic fingers don,t help . Is there something that locks it on there.

Do you mean the black cover that attaches to the fender? If so, it just slides off the fender, towards the engine, after you remove the jumper stud cover.

It snaps off and slides back, old and brittle, may want to heat it up a bit, not melt, just warm.
Look at the tabs, use a small screw driver.

They are not cheap, when they snap through old age. Which they will.

The entire 14 pin connector kit is $50.00 plus but the top is cheap.......It's the lower portion that you can't get individually and I've been trying for a time.

..., many thanks for the replies, I guess it was rather a stupid question on my side, I simply forgot how I removed it last time.., I used a wide flat blade screwdriver to gently ease it off, the terminals were still relatively clean, but thought WIAIT there,s no harm in giving it a little tlc. I simply forgot it came off that way and thought it was just the very top portion that came off,,,I mean about 2or 3mm down, when infact the top male part goes down a lot further The connector block itself is in really exeptional condition, and still plyant, ie not brittle, and nothing fell out when I removed it, gave the male pins a clean with very fine sandpaper and on the female one,s I used a fine dremel stone by hand making sure it was a slack fit rather than tight, did,nt want to open any contact areas up, and it felt tight when I re-installed the top plug. Sprayed some Servisol CC on both parts.
