Default Brought home another project 90S4 - some assembly required

1991 S4 - nicely optioned. May toss a 91 GT engine in there while my son puts the original engine back together. Has a scratch on a cylinder wall - may hone or sleeve.

90 - fat fingered the title.

Here's a pic of the scratch on one cylinder. I really wonder necessary to hone after all.

I'll post pictures of the leather bits tomorrow.

I looked at the scratch and I don't think it warrants honing, either. Engine came with a complete set of engine rebuild gaskets - I plan to reassemble and drop it back in.

That picture looks like someone already ran a hone in it. You need to be sure that's not the case before you assemble it.

Spoke to PO - he only used some carb cleaner on a shop rag to clean them and he was the one that split the block. And he is a Rennlister. i trust him.
