Default RIM WHEEL QUESTION

Can you use an 18x8.5 on the front (52 offset) and a 18x10 (58 offset) on an 85 928?

I would not. Some might. It's not enough offset for good geometry and wide tires would likely touch.

In general the front wheel offset 60 - 65 is good, 55 - 60 marginal, and less then 50 is too low. It has to do with front suspension geometry - negative scrub radius, bump teer and such.

The 18x10 will work out in the back. That's the size and offset of a Carrera III.

Besides the suspension/steering geometry issues, that front will rub on your fenders.

Rears will work, the fronts will rub like a motherf*****. With that offset you should only run 7.5's. However, staying as close to 60 et is advisable.
