Default Bosch H4's don't turn off

Put the correct H4's back on the 82 Euro S. They work great, but they stay lit when the headlight switch is turned off and the headlights retract. Not even sure where to start looking for a cause.

Pretty much has to be the relay - did you upgrade the bulbs?

I bought a pair off ebay with bulbs and never took them apart to see what bulbs were included.

Mine had the same problem. Pull the relay, clean the contacts and if it keeps happening then replace the relay.

Thanks Alan and Jetdriver69 for concurring. I might have had the same issue before changing the headlights as the car has been sitting for a couple of years.

Hooked the battery back up to check the relay and the lights were off! Turned them on and off several times and they work fine. I think I've just come up with a new electrical repair technique. Walk away from it for a couple of days and it will repair itself.

My headlights-won't-turn-off problems solve themselves. The battery only lasts a little while. Then they are out.
