Default New owner maintenance suggestions

While I know my car was maintained by previous owner and selling dealer. Is there anything else to be concerned about other than visual things like aging belts hoses etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Change all fluids.

Inspect timing belt for wear and proper tension

Inspect for thrust bearing creep - see the FAQ thread for procedure.

Do you have a list of what has been done over the last 5-6 years?
Did you have a PPI done by a 928 specialist?
Do you know which coolant was used when the TB & WP were last done? There is a lifetime one, but others need changing every 2 years (IIRC) to avoid corrosion issues.

At the very least, I would want documented:
- TB, WP & coolant within the last 4-5 years;
- Fuel hose replacement;
- Thrust bearing end-play (auto) check;
- Brake fluid flush within the last 2 years.

Beyond that, I'd want a 928 specialist to go over the car and tell me what is needed - engine mounts, oil pan gasket, gearbox mounts etc.

After the above list, most other things are reliability rather than safety, so I'd be enjoying the car once they're covered.
