so i am knee deep in my steering rack rebuild and need some advise.

how did you guys get the seal out from the input shaft side.. you cant get to this one from the backside.

 

I made a tool with a large washer bigger than the hole, and a slide hammer. Filed the washer flat on opposite sides until it would push through while tilted, and once through could be pulled flat against the back side of the seal.
