Sharks In Ontario: June 28, 2015

Hi all, get those Sharks ready!
Fingers crossed for good weather. Long range says 20c and sunny, perfect.
Please pm me your email address to be added to the cruise map on Google maps. I will release as a private map late next week so everyone has a chance to review the route.
Also don't forget the two way radios. Nothing beats a radio to keep a group together.

Take up Livio's offer. He hasn't driven a 928 in half a decade, might need some help!
My plans for the weekend changed. Going camping with the family and won't be back until late afternoon on Sunday. Have a good one guys!

I will be celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary this Friday but after a couple of days with the in-laws, I will be spending my Sunday with you guys... and my wife ain't coming! I hope to have another 25 years to enjoy her company.

Gents - I am afraid I too will have to drop out due to techical problems. My shark is sick with a bad cam chain tensioner, and I am afraid he (it is a he) won't be ready by the weekend. Was really looking forward to this after a ten-year hiatus.

That sucks. Hope he feels better soon.

Since you guys are going to Palgrave, I'll assume the Forks of the Credit will be part of the drive too. OPP has been asked to do extra enforcement for noise and speeding. Keep it civilized or else this can end in a disaster. The speed humps are also been installed for the season so watch out for those too. The few people that live in the Forks are a complaining bunch and got the Councillor behind them. This pulled the Region into doing all kids of things to try to "fix" the resedient's "problems".....the OPP was pulled into it too.
Also, "The Badlands" have been fenced off too (a month ago) and is closed for the public. There is no parking available there anymore either. The place looks like a concentration camp when you drive by.

Thank you - hope so too as at least all the parts (including the used chain adjuster/tensioner - FYI new ones are now NLA from Porsche and no one in NA or Stuttgart has them in stock) have now all arrived. Seeing as I still need to borrow cam alignment tools and am otherwise occupied with mundane stuff like work, I don't think I'll manage to have him back together in time for the Sunday drive but I am hoping he'll be back in perfect health in a week or two at the most, with a few other upgrades to make up for the downtime.
Enjoy your drive & get-together and post some pics!
Cheers,
Doug

You don't need a cam aligning tool, just a dial indicator and rig up a base to stick it on then, just follow the factory repair manual to check the timing marks. It's a real PITA but it works.
