928 GT's for Sale

And I forgot to mention, a Porsche 8 cylinder motor, when has that ever happened with a production Porsche car and when is it likely to ever happen again.
A very unique model with an awesome sound that can only be had by an 8.

I can well believe those cars will sell for the asking or close to it. They are being offered to a market that is used to paying twice that price for a Porsche. These will seem like an amazing bargain.
Both GT's and both rare.

I just can't see how a GT with 120K+ miles will sell for $42500 - The two GTS's for sale here on Rennlist are going for I think $56 (77Tony) and $49 (Gary knox) and they are not exactly flying off the lot. Both those cars have well under 100K and have been superbly maintained.

When I sold the red one in January, it was on the market for only a couple weeks.
From what I see in the pictures, nothing has been done to it.
It's sorted out but needs some engine detailing, interior work on the rear quarter panels, and a good buff and polish.
Linkage was a bit sloppy but it had a recent tune up, new clutch and TB just before I bought it.
IMO manual trans brings the big bucks and sell fast.
Research here on Rennlist will bring up some history on that red GT.
Last week I just bought back the 93 GTS I sold last year after the buyer fell on hard times.
Now that Dave K finished an intake refresh and TB on my 91S4, I may sell it and end up with just the GTS.

944Cup - Thanks for the heads-up! I've updated the 928 Registry with both ads and pictures. We didn't have any pics of the black '89.
The red 90 was for sale not too long ago, and only 100 miles less at that time. http://www.grautogallery.com/vehicle...Porsche-928-GT
If anyone wants to give me $50K+ for mine, I suppose we could work a deal.

Well, if folks think these prices are reasonable...
I've got a black/black '89 GT with 125k-miles. I'll make it available at the 'quick-sell' price of $20k. It's a bargain compared to the one in the OP.

Offering a 928 for sale on Rennlist just does not bring any premium. Very small market segment and most of us have a 928 already. There is a market out there that has never heard of Rennlist, always dreamed about owning a 928, as they drive there new 991/Ferrari/Aston. To them $50k is a drop in the Ocean and a hell of a bargain for such an iconic car.

Dave, Please post pics or links and the necessary details on this car.

Was at the first Cars and coffee of the season this morning. Cold, but what a crowd. About 750 cars present. Only one 928, me. lots of interest in the 928 when you park with the big time exotics.
Tis the season!

Steve, the one specific detail about my '89 is that it needs a short block rebuild: won't hold a rear main, low warm idle oil pressure and serious lifter noise. I actually have 'spare' GT motor to swap into the '89 while I rebuild the '89's original. This project has been on the back-burner for so long that I really should consider selling the '89 and the spare GT motor as a package.
Here's a pic of the '89 and the motor that needs rebuilding:
