There they are together, the Baltic Blue and the Granite Green S4 Autos- parts cars from the era when they were still 'just' 25 year old used cars.....

What're we doin' here? Jeezalou, scraping out decent looking cars just for the breakers fee? I mean, not to get huffy or anything but collectors look for cars like this. In one piece. If the engine is toast, sell the car and an engine.

Recall what I said before. thrust bearing failure can be fixed without to much invasion if it's not into the case.
Someone please respond to Mr Merlin's post before this thing is thrashed. Heck, I might even grab it up and I will catch hell if I do.

And maybe I'll pick it up when you're done with it!
WOuld be interesting for 928Intl to see if there is a market for a dumped car/used engine (or trans or whatever) combo. Suppose the variables from unknown problems with the roller and unkwon buyers' temperaments is a significant deterrent to that.
I would like a granit green/linen or similar at some point.
If these are both TBF it is interesting because it might start to erode the idea that hard use and TBF are corrolated- these look to have been pretty stock/not tracked. Anyone's guess though.

That's probably just a customer that showed up for some parts. While he was in talking to Mark, Tom took a quick picture and sold off half the car to Rennlist vultures.
Note to self...don't drive the 928 to 928 Intl....

Based on parking job, folded mirror, and dusty neglected appearance...I don't think it's a joke. It's not a business that restores cars. It's a business that sells parts to people or other businesses that need parts.

IF anyone is interested in the car, but needs an engine. I have a '88 S4 manual engine that has been stored in my HOUSE for over 9 years - 75K miles. It came from the car that was hit in the rear by a semi back in late 2005. I'd been saving it in case I had an issue with my '89 S4 track car. Sold it, but haven't done anything with this engine. Contact me for any further info.
