While cruising craigslist, I came across a guy with an 82 advertised for $800. http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/4942634202.html

met him at his 10k Sq ft garage today. Wierd that this guy was 5 miles from me. Anyway, he had 3 928s, 7 or 8 911s, a 356, a 914, and a couple of 69 firebirds. Cool place, wish I had a place with toys like this.

The red one is an early 86 with heated seats. He said it was gushing oil from the rear main but it's likely from the pan. He started at 3500 for that one. The silver one was totally trashed. Not even worth parting. The maroon one was cool. It'sa 79 5 spd with pretty decent cork interior. He didn't name a price on it. He said he has a shiz load of parts, I just didn'tget to see them. Probably need to go back soon to take note of his inventory.

$800? Unless the car has been underwater, you could part it out for a tidy profit.

Offer him $500 and start tearing it down.

I thought about that. It's pretty rough, interior is totally trashed and it's an auto. The tail lenses were missing and all of the front lenses were rock chipped. It seemed like there wasn't much to to work with but there probably is.
