A friend of mine has an early 928 in white and as has already been said looks really nice, with the contrasting black fittings..., however if you are,nt sold on a white car in the first place, maybe look for the colour you really want ?
IMHO.., if the car is that good, colour would,nt put me off.

Thanks for the great replies! You guys are right - silly to pass up this opportunity for just color and it's beginning to grow on me already. Haha I'm a goner - hooked on this car! I'm a huge fan of those Carrera lightweight 5 spoke wheels in chrome.
But you guys reminded me of another question:
Does anybody have any names of repair guys in the KC area? Preferable somewhere near Merriam or the likes. I just want somebody reliable to give me a good PPI

I just lately bought my first non-black car in 30+ years. At the choice point 30-some years ago, I thought white would be a lot less work to keep clean. It isn't. Darn thing gathered little brown dots, road film and dust just as fast as the black does. If you want it perfectly clean all the time, color doesn't seem to matter. So I'm back in black since then, excepting the current Honda Pilot when I didn't get to choose the color; the silver Pilot is very forgiving on dust at ten feet, but it still takes the same effort as black would to keep it clean.
K loves her white 4Runner, and has always had white cars. Lately she's been saying that she likes the silver better, so there may be a course adjustment on that side of the garage.

On the car you are looking at, white is a great color. But "great color" is always subjective, so if you don't like white cars you can keep looking until you find one in the condition you want .and. the color you want. Depending on how particular you are about history and condition, color may not be the toughest part of your selection criteria. Great cars are getting a little less plentiful, color notwithstanding.

Mine was chiffon white. IMHO the best 928 color. I've also owned a black 928, and it just didn't give me the same feeling my white one did. Always looked clean, although it always WAS clean!

White cars are slightly slower with heat gain from the sun. That's a plus.
Grand Prix Weiss is called that b/c it was the original German racing color. That's a double plus.
White cars stand out from oncoming traffic. That's a plus if you're a traffic cop. Not so much if you're trying to fly below the radar.
