sometimes she starts sometimes she won't
I just had the MAF on my 1986.5 928 replaced. That corrected the jerking I was experiencing when accelerating ( Thanks to everyone on the forum who helped me diagnose the problem correctly) . I also replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. She was still idling rough from a vacuum leak, so I replaced the manifold intake gaskets, all intake rubber seals, injector rings and 2 injectors. I picked her up from the auto shop and drove her several city blocks before parking her for the night. In the morning she started right up and I drove 25 minutes to work and parked her again. When I came out an hour later she would crank but would not turn over.I had some co-workers push me and popped the clutch to see if that would get her started but it didn't work. I came back out at lunch time and she started right up. I notice that she was idling at about 6rpm.
Does anyone have any ideas about what may be causing this intermittent problem?
Any help will be appreciated…Thanks

Replace the three main relays, and check your FP fuse and any others for corroded contacts.
Something is failing when getting too hot.
You could narrow it down by using a timing light to see if you have spark when it cranks/turnover and doesn't fire.
Could also be CPS and or its connection.
Do easy stuff first

Thanks for the help you were absolutely right. Roger from 928Rus suggested that I switch out the horn relay for the fuel pump relay and she started right up and is still starting right up. Ordered new relays from him. Thanks for all your help.
