May 2015 Issue of Excellence- 928 Article!

I'd have to agree with Speedtoys on this. Please buy a copy and help support the magazine that took the time and expense to feature our great car.
It's like copying current movies, software or music for distribution, it's just wrong. If the article was twenty years old and out of circulation, I would not have an issue with it.

As i said, there is nothing for me to learn in that article.
What i do care about is rude and Spedtoys was rude to Tino.
And there you have it ! The rest is all BS anyway.

While there might be NOTHING for you to learn from that article there is much for you to learn about COPYWRITED intellectual property.... however intellectual might be an unknown quantity ..... and you might also learn a bit about what RUDE means

Those who are not in the content producing business can't know what it feels like to have everyone trying so hard to avoid paying for your work - and succeeding. Instead of driving around in a shiny new Porsche, you find yourself on your back, filthy, replacing motor mounts on an ancient car. Perhaps that's a bad example here, but you get my point.

You obviously haven't paid attention to why i chimed in.
And by the way James it is spelled COPYRIGHTED, being the expert you are, you should make a note of that.
You've never met me James, i am not rude to anyone. Call me sometime and you'd find this out 267 767 4565.
Now let's move on please.

Congrats to the OP on getting published and promoting our 928 which hold so near and dear.
I'll gladly support the effort and buy the mag; others unfortunately are seeking alternate means.

If someone didn't want to expose that, they shouldn't have brought the BS up to begin with..because they knew where it would go..and it went there.

I think that in this case it is similar to going to the library. Someone paid for the magazine and is "lending" it out to others to see. With the exception of the ads (which is the entire point of the magazine. I get that).
'We' as a group are not entirely the target audience for that magazine as I see it. And as the Fixer states, it might have enticed him to resubscribe. Sort of like a free trial period on cable TV

To put things into perspective, I am reading the 1978 October issue of the UK magazine "Autocar", featuring the Porsche 928 in a 6 page coverage. Nice to see what other kind of cars were around in 1978. This shows off the 928 very well! I guess we don't have to worry about copyright anymore. Anybody interested?

I HAVE that issue! (along with most others between the mid '50s and early '80s) I agree that when you can buy current issues of any magazine or book that has something important to you within, you should. Eventually, there's a great likelihood that it'll show up online at some point, so be patient. I have a great friend who was an early adopter in the computer field in the early '80s. I had dreams of trying to catalog the huge collection of car mags I'd acquired by myself and through my grandfather. I had NO typing or programming skills however, and that never happened. But to my chagrin, you can now search almost anything published, as well as communicate with those of you (humbly, us) that have personal knowledge that is invaluable for the rest of us. Not imagined in the pre-internet days.
Might seem obvious to everyone now, but I'm just trying to add some old guy perspective.
