Default Ticking noise inside the car

Hi,

I am a new owner of a 928, and wanted to check if it is normal to have a ticking noise inside the car, while accelerating? It seems to be coming from a small unit which is fixed at the bottom right side of the passenger seat, near to the fire extinguisher.

I feel like I am driving a time-bomb lol! Appreciate your advice.

Cheers
Dan

So does the ticking noise mean that I would need to replace it?

No. It is "ticking" up miles.

Just unplug it - peace and quiet

It just lights up the OXS light on the dash every 60,000 miles. It doesn't do anything else but that and make a crap ton of noise.

Yep, you can just pull it out. It is only there to tell you when to replace the O2 sensor, it has no effect on its actual function.
