I have the left front wheel well apart to replace the outside temp sensor (was missing) and found a few strange things (isn't that how it always works?)
First, I found a pair of yellow wires, soldered together via a resistor. Was this an attempt to "repair" the absent outside temp sensor? Are these the wires that go to the temp sensor?
Next, in the rear of the wheel well, I found 2 unused wires with female spade tip ends on them. One is black with a white stripe, the other brown. They come out of a shrink wrapped wiring harness (some of the other wires go to the tempostat). Anyone have a clue on these 2 wires? I saw that Viribus had a thread on this in July, but no final conclusion...
Thanks!

Not seeing it for sure, its a guess...but, my guess is those are the sender wires.
odds are the wires BEHIND the wheel well are for the "euro" side markers. In order to keep costs down a bit, Im sure porsche kept the wiring harnesses pretty similar for all the 928s

Thanks, Tony - that makes sense about the rear wires.
I checked voltages and resistance across the yellow wires after removing the resistor - it does change significantly when I put on the climate control on. So that kind of confirms these are the correct wires (I think).
Any more thoughts?

Thanks, Tony and Earl.
I checked with DR at 928 Specialists and he concurred as well.
Looking forward to real climate control (I hope!)
