Default waterbridge 1988 S4

Hello
Today decided to take waterbridge off on my 1988 S4 to fix
oil leak from oil filler neck. Removal went smoothly .Factory installed I had plastic oil filler neck .Reading posts about warped plastic parts I decided to go with metal neck #928.107.303.1R .To my surprise original plastic neck
#928.107.303.06 has oil buffer build in hmmmmmmmmm?? and second breeder is factory plugged !
Questions
1 How to re-glue top nipple (it is so loose I can pull it out),on plastic neck ) -JB weld ?
2 Metal oil neck has both breeders open and no oil buffer ,will that cause any problems ?

Which one to go with ??!!!
Plz advise

You can re-use the plastic one.

Use a new o-ring and some Hondabond or...

Use the early style gasket, the thick paper one and some Hondabond or...

The o-ring, paper gasket and Hondabond. That's what I did. Didn't take any chance...
Didn't want to do the job for the third time!
Nothing leaks now.

You can use any good instant plastic glue to fix upper nipple. Make sure everything is clean and you should be good.

since its apart I would suggest to get Greg browns oil block off plate ( 928 INTL may also be selling this same part),
this part will fit between the filler tube and the block and reduce the amount of oil that the fill tube sees.

That is a stock plastic oil fill. The left port is a pcv valve of sorts. One way...

the block off plate adds an extra layer of oil control,
you will find less oil being sent to your intake if you use it.

OP, did you have the manifold off? I'm looking at my water bridge and wondering if there's enuff room to get it out with the oil fill thing in place. Looks like only a little room for the bridge to come up, so wondering if that's what you did with yours ...

If you use the metal filler neck - most of us do - then fit a Greg Brown oil baffle with the early paper gasket and use Drei-Bond. We stock all those parts if we can help.
