I think I set the record for longest drive and least time spent at a 928 event. My son has ASD and though on a good day you might not notice...Friday night and into Saturday morning something snapped and he turned a rare fit up to 11. Oh well, I did get to see the awards ceremony. I've seen all the cars at Frenzy, but yesterday they all looked GORGEOUS and ready to be judged. It's amazing how stunning these cars look when detailed (felt sorry for my car when I got home...think I'll wash it today). I also picked up a nice set of LiftBars from Ed. Going to try them out this morning.
The Blue Max is stunning...it's an eye magnet. I had time to see a few more cars...Rick's car is an all around stunner. I don't know why people dislike the burgundy interiors (maybe it doesn't show well in photos) because his car has a deep and rich wine-like appearance... fantastic. Otto's near liquid Dunkelblau with pearl interior looked great - one of my favorite 928s. Stan's with E'fin bueno pearl something yellow paint is hard to comprehend - so much depth. The story behind Stan's car is interesting, but I can't remember details. I think his is one of only two cars. Matt's 83s needs to be seen in person to appreciate fully...much more going on than body work and paint. So many little details have gone in to making his car (check out the hatch lid).
I also noticed a lot of interest in the 928 from non-owners.
Congrats to all...all the cars looked really sharp.

A few pics, not many as I spent more time talking and relaxing on this trip.

The last few show the scrape marks I acquired with the rencan group on a nice dip in the road. Luckily only scrapes.

Well, I miss all the fun. Drove 40 miles last weekend as a shake down, no issues. Did another 40 yesterday and she quit coming off the Throgs Neck Bridge at the toll plaza, I found fuse 38 (FPump) blown, switched in another 15 Amp, but still no start, she coughed once so I'm pretty sure it is fuel related, need to know what caused the overload; Junk in tank jamming pump?? two pumps and filter are waiting for Pete (El Greco) to install next week. As I'm putting screens in the house and raking winter's debris I'll be thinking about all the fun I'm missing. It would sting a little less if this weren't a once a year event. So it goes.
It did look so smooth, wet and deep. You guys (Otto and Robin) did a great job on that finish.

Rick, Great seeing you as always. Pablo commented on how nice a guy you are too. I bet you slept 15 hours when you finally got home !
Nice getting to talk to "Pizza" Panoz Pete this event. At Frenzy i didn't make the "Panoz" Pete / El Greco connection.
Always a pleasure to see Ed, that goes w/o saying. Same for Jim of 928 Classics who had a new GT to show
Jon, (Captain Slow) i hope we met.
I met so many new people I'm not sure..
I'll bring my Son next year (had a bad case of poison ivy)
they can hang together while we talk Porsches.
Adam, Great hanging out and seeing that white S4 5-speed of yours. Gorgeous Porsche and sounds great too.
You're a great Photographer.
I'd like to have one (Stan's car and mine.
Great hanging out with Glenn, Otto /Co Pilot, Jason and his Father, Gary Knox and the rest.
Anthony ^^ I wish you would have introduced yourself. I've wanted to meet you. Thank for the compliment, sounds better as the revs go higher though!
See ya next year

Again another outstanding 928 GTG. All you guys make these things so much fun!
Big thanks to Stan for his advise and instruction on my "lack of speed" problem. And also thanks to Ed for leading me home!

My compliments to all who had their 928's at the Concours on Saturday. I thought it was not only the largest turnout of 928's I've seen in my 15 years of going to Hershey, it was also - in total - the nicest looking grouping of 928's I've seen there. VERY WELL DONE to all of you.
It was great to see so many 'old' (yes, many of us ARE!, but I'm certainly one of the oldest) friends at this annual gathering of 928 aficionados on Saturday. Steve G, I looked for you, but now know why you weren't there! Sorry.
Whichever one of you guys had taken responsibility for the weather on Saturday, I want to compliment you as well. Best weather ever for a car event I've attended at Hershey!!!
Cheers guys, and keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing you there again next year.

What a great time!
Just wanted to say I had a great time. I wish I had gotten a room at the White Rose, maybe next year. I felt somewhat out of my depth with the way all the other 928s looked. What a great showing blue max was incredible! I want to thank everyone for their comments on my cars new paint job. Next is the interior but seeing that it took me 7 years to finally go to paint it might be a while before the inside gets a redo. I am definitely going to Frenzy.

I must say I had a great time as well - really enjoyed the "hangout" at the White Rose, and it was eye opening seeing the "master" pickers find things I was looking for but missed....it's an art that I'm still learning. Thanks to everyone who made me and my buddy Steve feel at home at my first 928 'event'..I hope to be at Frenzy (gotta adjust the kids travel Hockey schedule! - and get a car to the 'reliable' point so I can bring it)...thanks again to all ! And great photos Adam...
