Bertrand ... one small critique to make them even better, would be to make the font less 'bold'. If you compare Rogers original with yours, you can see that the font on yours is more bold, and this is particularly noticeable on the umlaut characters, where the two dots are larger and merge together.

Thanks Dave for the observation.

I can do do two things to correct this:
1) Make the entire text lighter (less bold) or
2) Just make the dots lighter.

There is also other small details that I can work on to make it better.
I mean closer to the original.

Thanks for taking the trouble Bertrand

It looks to me that making it less bold will get it closer, and then adjust the dots further if they need it. You could also bump the small font up a fraction ... the ratio (large/small) on the original is about 8/6, and on your print is 8/5.

Here are the two together, which makes comparison easier.

Here's a Powerpoint version I drew up to print up on Papilio decal stock.

Available on Ebay for a few dollars, look up "Porsche 928 engine bay restoration decal-coolant tank"
All those decals are the wrong size and not the standard we are looking for - I already bought those and they ended up in the dustbin (trash to you Americans 8>)).

For you Porsche 928 perfectionists I have just received the last 4 of these stickers from Porsche Germany - 928 006 511 01 - fresh in new Porsche bags. Birth date 25/1/2012.
List is $19.02 each. I will be selling Bertrand's copies but these 4 are pretty unique.

Only one per customer please and the first 4 emails requesting an original to roger@928srus.com gets them.

I just whipped this off in Illustrator--I think the font is closer to the original sticker.

I'm still working on the design to make it as close as possible to the original one.
With all the good things and bad things!
Again, it's to reproduce it as close as possible with, of course, the product and capacity of the equipment I have.

Thanks for the interest you showed in this little project.

Default Sticker Color

As I don't have an original sticker in hand, I'm trying to determine what yellow would match the original sticker best.

The one I used for the first print is too dark I think.

I have on my car the sticker for the intensive washer tank (part # 928. 701. 153. 03).

Is those two stickers are the same (or very close) yellow?
I think they should. Probably the AC sticker is the same yellow too.

Can anybody who has these three original stickers confirm me this please?

Thank you very much.

The font does look closer - can you adjust the kerning in the tool you used? Gaps between letters aren't quite right.
