Default Shark spotted in New Orleans

I'm visiting NO from Chicago and spotted a shark. At about 3:30pm on Sun the 1st (Mar) sitting on the porch at the Blind Pelican I saw a nice black 928 heading west on St Charles. Just wondering if owner is a rennlister.

Has anyone started a "spotted" thread for folks traveling. Might be kind of fun.

I own a black 928 and live in New Orleans but would never drive it down St Charles. Hopefully someone was not driving my car!

Ha! hope not. I am not a 928 expert but it looked good. I desperately want one but am very afraid of the repairs/maintenance. I have a well sorted 951, but it took some $$ to get there.

With the condition of the streets down by you I'm surprised you drive on any of them. When spring comes around in Chicago we have a lot of streets in need of repair from the abuse our winter has on them. But I was surprised to see how bad the NO streets were.

Has it always been this way or is this long term damage from Katrina?

I keep my cars about 20 minutes out of the city. The roads have always been bad. The soils here don't have much compressive strength or bearing capacity. That's why we build on piles.
