Default New Borla exhaust project pics

I have just finished updating the first half of my 20 year old exhaust system. The new Borla 3'' Stainless setup looks and sounds great. I also had some new tires put on. I will post a new topic when I take on bending the front half and show you all the results. You can view some pics below.

Cheers

Dude! This looks cool!

UHMmm...I've got the Borla cat back system from 928 Intl, and though that system is AWESOME from both a standpoint of sound [Great!, yet you don't need earplugs for long trips], and for longevity [mine has seen over two years and 40K miles; the muffler is still new looking~], I'm not happy with the two pipes that exit from the cutout at a 45 degree angle. Your system has awesome looking tips!

928 Specialists had a car jacked up in the fog of Sharks In The Mountains '03, and it had a prototype exhaust similar to yours that was so f*cking hot that it was cutting the mist!

Nice wastegate. Which turbo setup is that? How much boost?

The single Rayjay turbo setup was built by BAE around 1987 and is producing @7 LBS of boost. The car runs great, and now sounds even better.

Dude, ay reason you elected not to go with mandrel bent? After a couple of hot runs and cool downs that thing is gonna have some huge twists and kinks in it especially back by the bends on the RMB

Dude, no reason at all. I figured that the first exhaust setup was not mandrel bent and it lasted 20 years. The shop that did the work has a great reputation. I am sure that if Huge twists or kinks appear they will fix the problem. Mandrel bending the pipes is a more expensive option that I will save until i can afford a '99 996 C4. Until then, I will just enjoy the sound, that my non mandrel bent pipes make.
