Unhappy Oil Pressure Guage

Rainy day today so I decided to dive into the pod removal in an attempt to fix a couple inoperative guages. It seems my oil pressure guage may be toast. The needles on all of the other guages move freely when I touch them. The oil pressure needle doesn't move. I have to force it. And when I do it remains at that location. It doesn't move back on its own. Is this the sign of a dead guage?

Search the archives for a couple of gauge repair shops. Palo Alto Speedometer is one. I used them but cant give a glowing report. It does sound like the gauge is shot. Mine did this very thing and they fixed it somehow.

good luck.
